A few months after my mom's death, one of her good friends went back to visit the ward in Utah where she (the friend) used to live. She visited the neighbor who lived in the house across the street, and their teenage son asked how her friend was, and described my mom to her. When she informed him that mom had passed away, he started to cry, and explained that one day he came over while she was visiting, and, in her excited and passionate storytellers way, told him about the Lord of the Rings (this was before the movies).
