Coyote Beautiful

My two trusty dogs and I were out walking really early this morning. It has been so hot lately that I wanted to go while it was cooler. There aren't a lot of folks out that early so imagine our surprise when we see a coyote running down Egan Crest....

He stopped at the stop sign, looked both ways, and then turned right on Tropical. He was really moving fast, but well under the speed limit.

We are happy to report that the coyotes in our area are law abiding, upstanding citizens.

  7. Hahaha! Sometimes if you're out and about early in our neighborhood there's a really large and healthy looking coyote who hangs out at the end of our cul de sac. He's probably eaten a few bunnies, cats and small dogs in our neighborhood and knows where the good eats are. He looks very well fed so he's not much interested in me. We just nod and go our separate ways.

  9. Lovely in a sneaky sort of way. They do such harm to ranchers and farmers out here on the prairie. Perused a couple of your archived posts. What's the new business? Good for you all! Kids in college....you'll have a new pair of shoes for yourself in only four or five years. When my youngest left, I just made myself consistently focus on the fact that she had the self confidence to head out on an adventure (left Oklahoma for Indiana University) meant that the good Lord had allowed us to do something right in raising her, and I needed to spend my time giving Him praise and thanks. Left me with less time for feeling sad. Also decided that I would focus on dating my husband after all those years sitting on bleachers and cheering. That turned out to be a really good thing for both of us. You'll be fine. You made a successful investment in her, and now the dividends will begin to pay off. Thanks for stopping by my post. I hope that darling girl wants that silver some day. I'm blessed with kids who love to entertain and totally appreciate the family treasures. Cherry Kay

  12. Coyotes get in enough trouble without getting a ticket for running a stop sign. Coyote Rule #111-A :)
