Stevie Nicks would do it...

As you know Stevie Nicks is the patron saint of my blog.....the reason is very simple......she was in the background of my youth. When I was young I didn't worry about much of anything....I kept life very simple.....tan, work, play tennis, dance, sleep.....simple.

And Stevie Nicks approved. She could twirl out on a stage in a beautiful black dress, long blonde hair and great music....and we all felt pretty.

I am not having a mid life crisis....but I miss that Donna sometimes....she was a lot of fun. And by the way, she was always late too......so not everything changes.

I have to remember that once upon a time I had fun.....We all need to remember that. So dance to Motown today! Lip sync your absolute favorite high school song....call up a friend who knew you when you had a waistline and laugh about the one that got away. Relive some harmless pranks.....and just laugh!!

Best Medicine.....Stevie Nicks would do it.

  1. Ahhhhhh - the good old days. When I could tuck my shirt into my pants. When I dressed to show off my figure and not to camouflage it. When I entered a Farrah Fawcett look-alike contest. When Star Wars first came out. When Disco ruled! When all I cared about was dancing and tanning and eating fresh Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies. Simple - carefree. And I knew that fun, delicious Donna!

  8. My best friend since I was 12 moved to where I now reside about 8 years ago. I have always called her when I needed to be with someone who knew me 'when'. It's important to bring back those memories.

  10. I always loved to dance and I always loved Stevie and the whole Fleetwood Mac gang - they definately were a part of my teen years.
I still love to dance and my kids just look at me like I've gone insane. It is pretty hilarious. My husband has 2 left feet so I always ask them "Where the snark do you think you got your dance moves from?" "Oh yeah, smarty pants!!".
Yeah, I'm a good mom that way ;-D

Stevie would definately have done it!! I think she still does.

  11. And seriously that young picture of you looks SO familiar to me. I think we are probably about the same age. I wonder if our paths have crossed when we were younger.

  12. Love the picture. You are still marvelous, darling! I think we DON'T dance enough. Somehow (about the time we lose our waists) we think we can't bust a move anymore. But we can, and we should. It just makes us happy. And I know Stevie would approve.
